Jalandhar (Punjab): Dr. Deepak Chawla has officially taken on the role of President for the Jalandhar branch of the Indian Medical Association for the year 2024. Notably, this branch stands as the largest in the country, comprising over 1,400 members. Dr. Chawla expresses his sincere thanks to the Jalandhar medical community for their trust in assigning him this responsibility. The responsibility of the IMA president was officially transferred to him during an installation ceremony held last evening, as outgoing office-bearers formally handed over the charge. Dr. Chawla, during his tenure, expressed his commitment to enhancing the association and collaboration among medical professionals citywide. He also emphasized advocating for and actively working towards an improvement in the quality of healthcare services for the local community. For the year 2024, his team comprises Dr. Gagandeep Singh as Senior Vice-President, Dr. Archana Dutta as Secretary, Dr. Jangpreet Singh Multani as Assistant Secretary, Dr. Abhishek Kumar as Finance Secretary, Dr. Amit Mahajan as Assistant Finance Secretary, Dr. Vikas Sood as Press Secretary, and Dr. Peeyush Sharma as Assistant Press Secretary.
