In a significant crackdown, Odisha Police arrested two individuals in Ganjam district for impersonating doctors and operating clinics without valid medical qualifications. The accused, identified as Subhrajit Panda and Anil Kumar Sahu, were found running clinics in Dengausta and Gopalpur areas, respectively. Investigations revealed that both had forged medical certificates and were treating patients without proper authorization.

Subhrajit Panda, a resident of Dhenkanal district, falsely claimed to be an orthopedic and spine surgery specialist with a degree from Germany. He operated clinics in Dengausta and Cuttack, treating patients and prescribing medicines. His activities came under scrutiny after a patient's family filed a complaint, leading to a police investigation that uncovered his fake credentials. Notably, Panda had previously been arrested in Hyderabad in 2020 for similar offenses. 

In a separate incident, Anil Kumar Sahu from Golabandha village was apprehended for posing as a doctor and running a clinic at his residence. He displayed a signboard claiming medical qualifications and treated patients without any legitimate degree. Upon inspection, police seized forged certificates and medical equipment from his clinic. Sahu admitted to practicing medicine without authorization for several years.
